Every year this event attracts over three-thousand people to a dairy farm in the Rochester area. This year's event is being hosted at the Little Valley Dairy. The event will be hosted by the Thompson Family, and sponsored by the Rochester Area Ag Committee and the Olmsted Count Farm Bureau Federation.
Attendees are asked to park at the Century High School's south-west lot. There attendees can purchase Rochesterfest buttons which will allow them and their party a free bus ride to and from the farm.
Events are schedule from 6:30am to 11:30am. Breakfast is provided by Chris Cakes of Rolfe, Iowa. Tickets for the breakfast cost $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for toddlers younger than 5 years of age. Breakfast includes sausage, pancakes, cheese, with choices of juice, milk, and coffee for drinks.
Tickets for the event may be purchased in advance in the Rochester Information Booth in downtown Rochester, Minnesota from June 20th through June 24th. Tickets may also be purchased at the event.
Events will include demonstration and participation in farm chores, farm equipment display, farm animals with attending veterinarian to answer questions, as well as display of antique and modern farm equipment. Petting areas, horse-drawn wagon rides and educational displays are sure to round out the days activities and keep the young ones excited and engaged.
